How to complain about Trivallis, and what to do if they ignore you

Trivallis manages around 10,500 homes across Rhondda Cynon Taf in South Wales. The association formed in 2007 from a large-scale voluntary stock transfer from Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council, taking on most of the former local-authority stock in the Valleys.

A low-rise British council housing estate

Welsh tenants are protected by the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016 and the Fitness for Human Habitation Regulations 2022. The Valleys housing stock includes a high concentration of pre-1939 terraces with the construction features that drive damp problems (solid 9-inch walls, failed slate DPCs, eroded lime mortar). The Welsh framework differs from the rules in England. If Trivallis has ignored you, here's how to claim.

How to complain about Trivallis

If Trivallis has left a repair undone, you have the right to complain, and to escalate it for free if they ignore you. Here is the order to follow.

Ask for a stage 2 review. If you are not happy with the reply, ask Trivallis in writing to look at it again at stage 2, the final stage of their process. They should reply within about 20 working days.
