Awaab's Law applies in full
Since 27 October 2025, no Bristol social landlord can lawfully ignore a reported significant hazard for more than 10 working days. Once investigated, the landlord must send the tenant a written summary of findings within 3 working days and complete the works within 5 working days of the investigation ending. Emergency hazards must be investigated within 24 hours, with alternative accommodation offered if the home cannot be made safe in that time.
