Direct answer

After you get in touch, we call you back, book a free home inspection, and pass strong cases to a no win, no fee solicitor. Here is the journey, step by step.

Direct answer

After you get in touch, we call you back, ask a few simple questions, and book a free home inspection. If your case is strong, we pass it to a housing-disrepair solicitor who runs it on a no win, no fee basis. You are never left in the dark. To start, call us free on 0800 030 4669.

Step by step

  1. You get in touch. By phone, WhatsApp, or the short online form.
  2. We call you back. We ask what is wrong, how long it has been going on, and who your landlord is. This is a friendly chat, not a test.
  3. We check you are eligible. We look at your type of tenancy and the problem.
  4. We gather evidence. Photos, videos, and any letters or emails between you and your landlord help a lot. See what evidence do I need.
  5. We arrange a free inspection. Someone visits and writes a report on the disrepair.
  6. We pass your case to a solicitor. They work on a no win, no fee basis. No upfront cost. You only pay if you win, and the fee comes out of the compensation, not your pocket. If you don't win, you pay nothing.
  7. The solicitor takes over. They deal with your landlord, push for repairs, and claim compensation.

How long does it take?

Every case is different. The first call can happen within a day or two. A full claim can take several months, because the law gives the landlord time to respond. We will keep you updated. See how long does a disrepair claim take.

What you can do to help

Keep reporting the problem to your landlord in writing, and keep copies. Save dated photos and videos. The more evidence, the stronger your case.
