Has Sanctuary Housing ignored your repair complaint?

You're not the only one. If you reported a repair and Sanctuary Housing ignored it, the law is on your side.

Sanctuary Housing is one of the largest housing associations in the country, managing around 90,000 homes in England, with more across Scotland. The Regulator of Social Housing gave Sanctuary a C2 consumer grade, flagging weaknesses in its repairs service and in the safety and quality of its homes.

Large national HA (England-only entity here). C2 consumer grade, weaknesses in repairs and Safety & Quality. They manage 90,000 homes across England. When a landlord this size ignores you, the law is on your side, but only if you act. Under Awaab's Law and Section 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, you can claim compensation and force the repair.

Sanctuary's size means repairs can stall as cases pass between teams. An independent statutory ruling found severe failings against Sanctuary, including a case where it failed to deal with leaks, damp and mould for more than two years and was ordered to pay the tenant over £8,000. If Sanctuary has missed an Awaab's Law deadline on your home, that delay strengthens your case.
