Welsh housing law applies · You may have a claim
Has Linc Cymru (now Codi) ignored your repair complaint?
You're not the only one. If you reported a repair and Linc Cymru (now Codi) ignored it, the law is on your side.
Cardiff-based Linc Cymru merged with Pobl April 2024 forming Codi Group. They manage 4,500 homes across England and Wales. When a landlord this size ignores you, the law is on your side, but only if you act. Under Awaab's Law and Section 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, you can claim compensation and force the repair.

In Wales, the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016 requires a landlord to keep the structure, exterior and key installations in repair and to keep the home fit for human habitation. Awaab's Law and the English repair Acts do not apply.
